Not A Mistake By Myself

A Poem by Nada Albarnawi

Yes, it's only the beginning

The calm before the storm

Before rain

After rainbow

And between me

remonetizing misery

I was there and here

I have come to be me and them

I extinguish everyone's candle once

But it wasn’t my fault in the end

I was only trying to learn

To grow

To be who I’m now

The storm was symbolic of my mistakes

To hell, where I was living in

My fault, my guilt, and being alone in this

But, the rainbow appeared to represent the lessons

I learned it was okay to be the dew on leaves after every heavy rain from heaven

Again

It wasn’t my fault
